It is a gift from Allah to us:

Lailatul Qodar is a blessed night because it is the night Allah (S.W.T.) descended to the lowest heaven and asked for the glorification of His beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). This night is so special because it has been narrated from the Hadith that the person who observes this night with full devotion, fasting and by not sleeping will enter Jannah (Heaven). This night is also known as: Night of Power and Destiny, Night of Decree and the Night of Value.

Lailatul Qadar is the most sacred night in the Islamic calendar, when Allah (The Most High) descends to the lowest heaven to ask forgiveness for all of his creations. It is the night when the Gates of Paradise are opened and the Gates of Allah are closed, and the night when Allah decrees the destinies of all mankind for the coming year.

It is a time of forgiveness and mercy from Allah:

Lailat-ul-Qadr is the night when the Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. The Noble Qur’an was revealed in parts to Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon him, throughout his life in Makkah, starting at the age of forty. The first revelation came to him while he was in a cave called Hira, three miles outside of Makkah. He would go there often to think and meditate alone.

Allah says in the Quran: "And We sent the Qur'an down on a night of Qadr, so be devoted to Me through this night, remaining standing, calling upon Me and asking of Me, and I will respond to you. Indeed, the noble, honorable night of Qadr—staying up for it is of great, great reward." [Qur'an 97:1-5] • It is a time when all the deeds and actions of the previous year are judged to determine whether they are destined for Heaven or Hell.

The night when Allah forgives all our sins:

Allah's night of Power or Lailat-ul-Qadr is the night when Allah descends and speaks to the lowest heaven and forgives all of our sins. The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. The angels and the spirit descend in this night and there is peace until break of dawn.

Allah says: "The night of Al-Qadr is better than one thousand months. Therein descend the Angels and the Spirit (Jibrael). And Allah announces to the angels: "I am going to place a man in my path of self-reform and he will spread my message and teach my commandments. Whoever will enter the house of this man will be secure with me and I am his protector.

Throughout history, Allah has sent many messengers to guide mankind. Allah sent many messengers to guide mankind, because He knows that we are incapable of understanding the right path without a messenger to guide us. However, one of the messengers that Allah sent to us was on a completely different level.

Allah sent His prophet Muhammad as the last messenger, and through him, Allah gave mankind the final revelation, the Qur'an. Allah has given mankind many opportunities to repent throughout the year, and Lailatul Qadar is one of them. However, the night of Lailatul Qadar is more sacred than all the other nights, and it is a night that we should try to spend as much time in worshiping Allah as we can.

It is the night when Allah takes account of our deeds:

This is a very important night in the Islamic calendar. It is a night where Muslims pray and beg Allah to forgive their sins and grant them forgiveness. Muslims believe that on this night, it is especially easy to get forgiveness and grant of wishes.

While many Muslims try to stay up the whole night, there are some who go to sleep after performing their prayers. There are Muslims who fast on this day, to gain more reward and to feel hunger in their stomachs reminds them of the poor around the world that have no food.

Some Muslims recite the Quran to achieve barakah (blessings) for their recitation and for the person who recited before them. And some Muslims pray the whole night to get a lot of rewards. Muslims believe that the reward for doing good deeds (especially for praying) is multiplied by ten during this night.

Final Words:

Lailatul qadr is the best time to pray and ask Allah for forgiveness. It is the night in which Allah Almighty has the greatest vigil over His creation. It’s a night that is filled with countless blessings from Allah (swt) for all believers.
